Help Grow Temperance Hall

Temperance Hall is an artist-run home for independent dance and expanded performance practice. 

In 2025, we framed our work as a year of Reassembly, stabalising a new model for our beautiful heritage building and community of artists and peers.

With the support of private donors, the Neilson Foundation, the City of Port Phillip and Creative Australia, we established two major residency programs dedicated to independent artists working in experimental dance and performance. 

In 2026, Temperance Hall remains — small enough to protect risk, lean enough to prioritise artists, steady enough to grow.

Inverting traditional presentation models, your support directly invests in the practice of art-making, and ensures independent artists are afforded the time, space and trust they need to make new work.
